Program Overview
Our emergency medical services and acute surgical care support program is designed to address critical healthcare needs in communities across Jamaica, by providing timely financial assistance to individuals facing acute medical conditions in need of time sensitive interventions. As a 501(c)(3) organization committed to community welfare, our program aims to make a significant impact on health outcomes by ensuring timely access and affordability of emergency medical interventions. It is our hope to bridge the gap in access to medical services and promote equality in care.
Emergency Services & Acute Surgical Care
- Provide financial assistance to those in need of emergency medical transportation, medical care for acute, traumatic injuries or surgical intervention needs, including ambulance services, imaging services, surgical equipment, and provider fees.
- Collaborate with skilled surgeons and medical facilities to ensure the highest standards of surgical care.
- Maintain partnerships with hospitals and clinics to facilitate seamless transitions from emergency care to ongoing medical treatment.
Community Outreach
- Conduct community awareness programs on trauma prevention and first aid including the importance of utilizing ambulance services in emergent situations.
- Conduct health education sessions to empower communities with preventive healthcare knowledge.
Standards and Criteria
Accessibility
- Providing financial assistance to ensure that medical services are accessible to individuals regardless of their socio-economic status.
- Utilize a sliding fee scale for financial assistance programs for those unable to afford medical care.
Quality of Care
- Continually monitor and review the medical standards and guidelines for services patients receive which are funded by our programs.
- Regularly evaluate and enhance our financial assistance programs to best serve the needs of the Jamaican people.
Community Engagement
- Encourage community involvement through volunteer programs and health awareness initiatives.
- Seek feedback from beneficiaries and stakeholders to continually improve program effectiveness.
Collaboration
- Foster collaborations with local healthcare providers, NGOs, and government agencies.
- Participate in regional and national healthcare networks to stay informed about the latest medical advancements.
Funding Allocation
Funds received under the 501(c)(3) designation will be allocated to support the various components of our programs based on patients’ needs for services. All financial assistance provided will be accounted for by program through proper accounting & reporting to ensure transparency and accountability.
